Zvi Lapidot, CEO & Chairman of the Board
Prior to Lumus, Zvi co-founded and served as chairman of the board of Orbot Systems, a PCB and flat panel display inspection equipment manufacturer and Orbot Instruments, a semiconductor inspection equipment manufacturer. He led the merger of Orbot with Optrotech, which formed Orbotech, a world leader in hi-tech inspection and imaging solutions for bare printed circuit boards (PCBs), flat panel displays (FPDs) and PCB assembly manufacturers around the globe. Zvi also led the acquisition of Orbot Instruments by Applied Materials, where he served as Corporate VP and Chairman of the Factory Productivity Solutions Product Business Group. Before founding Orbot, Zvi was a Senior Research Fellow at the Weizmann Institute of Science in the Department of Applied Mathematics. He has an MSc. in Electrical Engineering from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa.
Dr. Yaakov Amitai, Founder & Chief Technology Officer
Yaakov invented LOE technology, Lumus' patented, disruptive core technology. Prior to Lumus, he headed the Optics Group in ELOP, the largest Israeli manufacturer of electro-optical systems. Yaakov has a BSc in Physics, Mathematics and Computer Science from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, an MSc and PhD in Physics from the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, where he also served as a faculty member, and had post-doctoral studies at Stanford University. He has more than 35 patents and 70 scientific publications.
Chaim Aldaag, Chief Operations Officer
Chaim brings to Lumus more than 20 years experience in product development, operations and marketing. His previous positions include CEO of Optical Imaging Ltd., COO of Medinol Ltd., Director of New Business Development of Applied Materials Inc., and Product Line Manager at Orbot Inc. Chaim has a BSc in mechanical engineering from the Technion Israel Institute of Technology in Haifa, Israel, and an MSc in Business from Boston University.
Henry Schwarzbaum, VP Finance & Administration
Henry has more than 25 years of financial experience. Prior to Lumus, he served as Controller of Applied Materials Israel, CFO of Opal, VP Finance and Administration of Gelman Sciences Israel, CFO of Bio-Technology General, and held various financial positions in Kraft General Foods USA. Henry has an MBA from Columbia University and is a CPA (USA).
